The physical part refers to the work performed by the circulation system, and the chemical part refers to the elements and substance that we must add to the water to purify it. The disinfectant is the substance that allows us to kill bacteria, protozoa and viruses in water to prevent the spread of infectious diseases. Examples are chlorine, active oxygen (pure oxygenated water), biguanides (Baquacil), etc.

- Chlorine smell means clean pool
False. In usual doses chlorine in a pool is imperceptible. That smell that we often attribute to a clean pool is actually due to chloramines, which are one of the residues produced by chlorine in water when combined with urine, sweat, leftovers of personal hygiene products such as creams, shampoos, lotions and conditioners.
